SFR Solder Feeder
Offers with several solder wire Guide Kits which range from 0.5 to 1.5mm. Additionally, it features a solder wire detector sensor and in case of any "blocked up" or "Empty" solder feeds. Lakeside is impressed with this feature. Jams or empty condition stops the feeder immediately. All solder feeds are measured by an encoder at high accuracy. Manually loading a new solder roll was simple. A solder feed pushbutton is located right next to the solder feeder.

Both robots have absolute encoders that eliminate the need to remove circuit boards in the event of a light curtain blockage, or even E-stop condition.
Both robots can be programed by hand manipulation.
Uncomplicated Programming
One of the biggest frustrations with Selective Soldering Robots is programming points. There are far too many teach pendants that are poorly laid out and quirky.
I personally have experience with this frustration, and I have full heartedly avoided this with our design. There is no reason to settle with this discontent.
Programming is simple using the IAI PC software. The environment has an intuitive Excel format that is easy to use.

There are many selective solder companies to choose from that have similar features and hardware. However, with the JBC robot cell I found the operation and programming far less stressful. I’ve been in Controls for over 20 years and have worked with many operators and maintenance workers.

TRA Soldering Iron
Features a solder cartridge gripper. This allows for automatic cartridge exchange. This is very convenient if you have different solder point geometries that require a different solder tip. Also used for exchange of worn solder cartridges.
